French Country Style at Home

A few wonderful pictures from the book French Country Style at Home by Sebastien Siraudeau. For beautiful examples of French Country at it’s best with an eclectic twist.

Splash Some Pastels

Splashes of pastel yellow, green and turquoise help transform a neutral room.

Ever-changing

Stunning bedroom design with amazing wooden floors and beautiful feature ceilings:

Light informs spaces composed of clean lines and superb materials.

In the master bedroom, design and construction elements meld with the Maine woods in a dramatic, ever-changing composition.

Neutrals with an Edge

Contemporary classic  bedroom in a neutral green palette and traditional design are what make this bedroom a cosy classic, but the addition of a sassy animal-print bench gives the room an edge.

Imagine This: Senra´s House

This house is a great example of Portugal’s rustic countryside heritage. This stunning house is made up entirely out of three materials; ceramic, wood and stone. This home (designed by architect Manuel Ribeiro) is situated in a valley and deliberately aligned with the sun ensuring that the home benefits in its lighting.

I find this house so amazing and charming and I am in awe of the fabulous and talented work of Manuel Ribeiro who can create something so stunning just out of three elements (wood, ceramic and stone).

Architect: Manuel Ribeiro
Location: Travassós, Fafe, Portugal

Shabby in The Bedroom

Beautiful shabby chic, french style, country bedroom ideas.

From H&M

A stunningly sweet and romantic country style bedroom with neutrals combined with a lovely mustard. I adore those old wooden frames on the wall.

Well Placed Damask

Really love this bedroom with it’s muted colors and elegance.

I like the clever way the damask pattern is matched to the wallpaper and the fabric of the throw pillows and curtains while the headboard and other elements are kept neutral, it gives the room a polished look.
